The International Pension Fund (IPF) – a defined benefit plan covering 92% of BAC members throughout the U.S. that ensures the retirement security of more than 26,000 U.S. pensioners and beneficiaries – reached an important milestone in paying a cumulative $3 billion in pension benefits.

Four types of pensions are provided under the Plan.
- Normal Pension
- Early Retirement Pension
- Disability Pension
- Inactive Vested Pension
In addition, the Plan provides for a lump sum Death Benefit and Survivor Benefit.
Participation is available to employees working in covered employment, which is employment in a job classification covered by a local collective bargaining agreement, which requires contribution to the IPF. Corporate officers who are employees of the corporation may also participate subject to the approval of the Trustees. Participation is also available to officers or employees of local unions or local union funds which participate in the IPF. Participation is not available to anyone engaged as a self-employed person, partner or sole proprietor.
The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers and various Contractor Associations established the Bricklayers and Trowel Trades International Retirement Savings Plan (BAC SAVE) on April 26, 1988. BAC SAVE consists of both a Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) and a 401(k) Plan.
